Cloudflare introduces a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for the entire Cloudflare API that leverages Code Mode to expose just two tools—`search()` and `execute()`—cutting token usage to ~1,000 and enabling progressive capability discovery without loading full specs into the model context. Code runs in a secure Dynamic Worker isolate (no filesystem, controlled outbound fetch), with OAuth 2.1-based scoped permissions and support for GraphQL Analytics, and includes an example workflow for configuring WAF and DDoS protections. The release also covers approaches to context reduction, compares them to server-side Code Mode, and highlights MCP Server Portals for composing multiple services behind a single gateway with a fixed token footprint.
