Cloudflare announces major enhancements to AI Gateway to simplify and secure AI application development, including unified billing across multiple AI providers, integration with Secrets Store for secure key storage and RBAC/audit logging, a compatibility layer to normalize provider differences, Dynamic Routes for traffic management (A/B testing, rate limiting, chaining), and built-in Firewall with DLP scanning and guardrails. These features aim to centralize cost and key management, improve observability, and strengthen security and control over AI traffic.
