Cloudflare One Client now implements RFC 8899-style active Path MTU Discovery over MASQUE/QUIC: the client proactively probes encrypted packets of varying sizes to determine the largest usable MTU, dynamically adjusts the virtual interface, and avoids PMTUD "black hole" conditions that can break large uploads, video calls, or SSH sessions. The feature improves reliability across restrictive networks (LTE/5G, satellite, legacy middleboxes), benefits first responders and remote workers, and is available now for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
