AI in the workplace: The good, the bad, and the algorithmic

This article examines the strengths and limitations of AI compared to humans, noting AI’s efficiency in tasks like data analysis and anomaly detection, but also its weaknesses such as hallucinations, bias, privacy concerns, and lack of empathy and transparency. It argues that human creativity, context, ethics, and communication remain essential, especially for strategic decision-making and customer engagement. The recommended approach is a human-in-the-loop model where AI augments, rather than replaces, human expertise—particularly in cybersecurity—citing ESET’s use of AI to enhance threat detection and response.
