Telekopye transitions to targeting tourists via hotel booking scam

ESET Research outlines how the Telekopye Telegram-based scam toolkit enables organized criminal groups to run large-scale phishing campaigns against online marketplaces and, more recently, accommodation booking platforms (Booking.com, Airbnb). The report describes the toolkit’s automated phishing page generation, use of compromised provider accounts to prefill victim-specific booking data, translation/chatbot features, IoCs (PHP web shells and numerous phishing domains), law-enforcement actions, and recommendations for users and platforms to mitigate these scams.
