Massive 1.17TB Data Leak Exposes Billions of IoT Grow Light Records

A security researcher discovered an unsecured 1.17 TB database linked to Mars Hydro/LG‑LED SOLUTIONS containing roughly 2.7 billion records that exposed Wi‑Fi network names and plaintext passwords, IP addresses, device IDs, authentication tokens, app/error logs and control-device metadata; the database was secured after disclosure, but the sheer scale and sensitivity of the data create significant risks for surveillance, man-in-the-middle attacks, botnet recruitment, and other malicious uses.
