Google Indexed Claude AI Shared Chats Before Results Were Removed

Claude users who created public share links discovered those conversation pages were indexed by Google Search (via a site:claude.ai/share query), making shared chats discoverable by people who had not been given the direct URLs. The visibility appears to have resulted from public posting of share links and search engine crawling rather than a compromise of Anthropic systems; Google later removed the results. Users are advised to review Shared Chats and change any sensitive conversations from Public to Private, because removal from search does not retract copies saved by others.
