NCA’s LockBit Takedown: Source Code, Arrests and Recovery Tool Revealed

The UK National Crime Agency led an international operation that dismantled key LockBit infrastructure—seizing the gang’s primary admin environment, source code and dark-web leak site—while law enforcement in multiple countries executed arrests and froze cryptocurrency accounts; authorities and partners have released or will publish recovery tools and victim support portals. LockBit is attributed to over 2,000 victims and more than $120M in ransom payments, and while its operations have been disrupted, investigators warn the group may attempt to regroup.
