AI Generated Fake Obituary Websites Target Grieving Users

SecureWorks researchers have identified a scam campaign using AI-generated fake obituary websites that closely mimic real memorial pages to exploit grieving users. These sites are used to phish personal data, solicit donations for nonexistent causes, and display malware or fake malware pop-ups; several suspicious domains were listed and red flags for identifying fake obituaries are provided.
