Online Child Exploitation Network 764 Busted; 2 US Leaders Arrested

US and Greek authorities arrested two leaders of the online group “764,” alleging they led a violent child exploitation operation using encrypted messaging platforms from 2020 to early 2025; the case, linked to the subgroup “764 Inferno” and prior arrests, is being prosecuted in Washington, D.C., with potential life sentences. The investigation, part of Project Safe Childhood and led by the FBI’s Washington and New York Field Offices with international support, continues to pursue additional participants.
