A study shared with Hackread analyzes over 2,600 pop culture terms (and 60,000 variants) in breach datasets, finding that terms like Superman, Blink-182, Metallica, Eminem, Batman, Star Wars, Minecraft, Pokémon, Mario, and sports references such as New York Yankees, John Cena, and Tiger Woods are frequently compromised, with Superman leading at over 584,000 appearances. The report advises creating strong, random passwords of 12–15 characters with mixed character types, avoiding personal details, and not reusing passwords across accounts.
