Texas Parks and Wildlife Data Breach Affects Over 3M License Customers

A third‑party vendor for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department was breached, exposing ~3,190,363 hunting and fishing license customer records (names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, driver’s license and passport numbers). TPWD reports no SSNs, DOBs, or financial data were taken, the dataset was listed for sale on a cybercrime forum, and the agency is coordinating with Kroll, tightening access controls, and offering one year of free credit monitoring.
