7 Arrested Over World’s Top Anime Piracy Site HiAnime

Vietnamese authorities, assisted by U.S. partners and the anti-piracy coalition ACE, arrested seven suspects believed to have operated HiAnime (and predecessor sites Zoro.to and Aniwatch.to), a large-scale anime piracy network that hosted over 26,000 pirated titles across more than 100 sites and earned an estimated $12.85M in ad revenue; domains have been taken offline or redirected and suspects face copyright and money-laundering charges.
