Global Crackdown Dismantles 4 Botnets Behind Major DDoS Attacks

International law enforcement, supported by numerous private-sector firms, disrupted four major IoT botnets—Aisuru, KimWolf, JackSkid, and Mossad—that had compromised over three million devices and were capable of record-breaking DDoS attacks (peaking around 30 Tbps). The operation seized domains and virtual servers to sever operator control; however, the report warns that the botnet-as-a-service model and widespread insecure IoT devices mean similar threats could re-emerge without stronger device security and coordination.
