Telegram to Add Warning for Proxy Links After IP Leak Concerns

Security researchers disclosed a one-click Telegram privacy vulnerability in which a disguised tg://proxy link, presented like a username, triggers the app to contact an attacker-controlled server and expose the clicking user's real IP address (revealing city/ISP info) even when Telegram's proxy/VPN is used; the flaw affects Android and iOS, was publicly demonstrated, and Telegram has announced it will add a warning popup for proxy links.
