The Race to Quantum-Proof the Internet Has Already Begun

This article argues that quantum computing creates a genuine, near- to medium-term risk to current cryptographic systems—enabling 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks and potential digital signature breakage—and stresses that the hard part is global migration to post-quantum cryptography rather than the availability of new algorithms; Ethereum and emerging technologies like Fully Homomorphic Encryption are highlighted as examples of preparation and convergence between privacy and post-quantum security.
