DarkSword iPhone Exploit Leaked Online, Hundreds of Millions at Risk

DarkSword is a multi-stage iOS exploit chain observed in drive-by and watering‑hole attacks that can fully compromise iPhones (stealing messages, keychain items, location, browser history, crypto wallets, etc.). Researchers attribute activity to clusters such as UNC6353 and UNC6748, and a working exploit kit was publicly leaked on GitHub, raising risk for an estimated 270 million devices running iOS 18.4–18.7; updating to iOS 26 or applying emergency patches and enabling Lockdown Mode are recommended mitigations.
