UN and DFINITY Partner on MSME Blockchain Project for Secure Funding

UNDP and the DFINITY Foundation announced a partnership to develop and pilot the Universal Trusted Credentials (UTC) initiative in Cambodia, leveraging the Internet Computer blockchain and its Internet Identity solution to securely manage digital credentials for MSMEs. The initiative aims to enhance digital trust and expand access to domestic and cross-border financing, with plans to scale to 10 countries after the pilot, aligning with UNDP’s broader mission to drive digital inclusion and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
