Banco Santander warns of a data breach exposing customer info

Banco Santander disclosed an unauthorized access to a database hosted by a third-party provider that exposed certain customer information in Chile, Spain, and Uruguay and affected current and some former employees; the bank says transaction data and online banking credentials were not impacted, has contained the access, and is notifying affected individuals and authorities.
