Microsoft confirmed that the November 2025 KB5070311 (and later) non-security updates are causing RemoteApp connection failures in Azure Virtual Desktop on Windows 11 24H2/25H2 and Windows Server 2025, leaving full desktop sessions and personal devices unaffected. The company provides mitigations—adding a registry key with admin rights, restarting, and leveraging Known Issue Rollback or a downloadable Group Policy—and says a permanent fix is in progress.
