Microsoft to retire the OWA Light client in Exchange Server

Microsoft announced that the lightweight OWA Light experience will be removed from Exchange Server in an upcoming update (estimated August 2026) and has been deprecated since August 19, 2024; organizations should transition to the modern Outlook on the web experience. Administrators can immediately block OWA Light using Set-OwaMailboxPolicy -OwaLightEnabled $false and disable the logon page selection with Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -LogonPageLightSelectionEnabled $false.
