Keenan warns 1.5 million people of data breach after summer cyberattack

Keenan & Associates disclosed a summer 2023 network breach that affected approximately 1,509,616 people after an unauthorized party accessed internal systems between August 21–27, 2023. Exfiltrated data reportedly includes highly sensitive PII — full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, passport and driver’s license numbers — as well as health insurance and general health information; the company engaged forensic experts, offered two years of Experian identity protection, and recommended vigilance against fraud and phishing.
