Louis Vuitton says regional data breaches tied to same cyberattack

Louis Vuitton confirmed a July 2, 2025 data breach in which unauthorized access to a system led to exfiltration of certain customer personal data and notifications were sent to customers in the UK, South Korea, Turkey, Italy, and Sweden. The breach is believed to be tied to the ShinyHunters extortion group and a compromised third-party vendor, is related to similar incidents affecting other fashion brands, and reportedly did not include payment card data; LVMH said it is investigating and cooperating with authorities.
