Cooler Master confirmed a data breach of its Fanzone site after a threat actor named 'Ghostr' allegedly downloaded ~103 GB of data on May 18–19, including personal information for over 500,000 customers (names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, product and employee info). BleepingComputer validated samples with affected customers; the actor claims partial credit card data (not found in shared samples) and intends to sell the dataset on hacking forums. Cooler Master has engaged security experts, alerted authorities, and is notifying impacted customers while advising vigilance for phishing and social-engineering attempts.
