3AM ransomware stole data of 464,000 Kootenai Health patients

Kootenai Health disclosed a March 2024 cyberattack by the 3AM ransomware group that led to unauthorized access beginning February 22 and the subsequent leak of a 22GB archive affecting over 464,000 patients; exposed data includes full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, medical records, diagnoses, and insurance information, and the gang posted the data publicly on its darknet portal while the organization offers identity protection services to impacted individuals.
