Microsoft Teams, Outlook fail to launch on ARM-based Windows PCs

Microsoft warns that Windows security updates released on or after August 11, 2026 (KB5121003) can cause Microsoft Teams and the new Outlook to fail to launch or crash on ARM-based Windows 11 24H2 devices (e.g., Surface Pro 11, Surface Laptop 7), most likely on new or freshly imaged PCs that have not installed Microsoft Store updates; Microsoft advises updating the Auto Super Resolution Package (v1.0.19.0+) from the Microsoft Store as a temporary workaround while a permanent fix is prepared.
