Microsoft is testing Quick Machine Recovery for Windows 11, a Windows RE–based feature that automatically connects to the internet after boot failures to send crash data and receive targeted fixes (such as removing faulty drivers/updates or changing settings), aiming to reduce downtime; developed in response to the July 2024 CrowdStrike BSOD event, it will be enabled by default in Home editions, offers enterprise customization via RemoteRemedation CSP or reagentc.exe with preconfigured network credentials, and a test remediation package will soon be available to Insiders.
