DaVita says ransomware gang stole data of nearly 2.7 million people

DaVita, a major kidney dialysis provider, suffered a ransomware-related intrusion (access Mar 24–detected Apr 12) that resulted in exfiltration of approximately 2.4–2.69 million patients' sensitive personal and health records; the Interlock ransomware operation claimed responsibility and leaked about 1.5 TB of data, including SSNs, tax IDs, insurance and treatment records, and some financial images.
