Hacker defaces spyware app’s site, dumps database and source code

A hacker defaced the pcTattletale spyware website and leaked about 100GB of archives containing source code and database dumps tied to ~139,000 unique email addresses (device info, MD5-hashed passwords, SMS texts). The breach was reportedly achieved by extracting AWS credentials through a SOAP-based API exploit, following prior disclosure of an API flaw that exposed screen captures; the incident affects a consumer-grade stalkerware product and results in significant personal data exposure.
