Payments platform BridgePay confirms ransomware attack behind outage

BridgePay Network Solutions suffered a confirmed ransomware incident that disrupted multiple core payment gateway services (Gateway API, PayGuardian Cloud API, virtual terminals, hosted pages, and boarding portals), triggering nationwide card-processing outages for merchants and some municipal services; BridgePay engaged the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and external forensic teams and reported encryption of accessed files with no current evidence of usable payment card data exposure while recovery and investigation continue.
