Apple released Beats Firmware Update 1B211 to patch CVE-2025-20701, a high-severity flaw in Airoha system-on-a-chip firmware that allows attackers within Bluetooth range to listen through the microphone of unpaired devices; ERNW researchers demonstrated a proof-of-concept and showed that chaining this bug with two related vulnerabilities enables HFP hijacking to initiate calls, read/write device memory, extract Bluetooth link keys, and access contacts and call history.
