Ingram Micro says ransomware attack affected 42,000 people

In July 2025 Ingram Micro experienced a ransomware incident (linked to SafePay) that caused internal outages and led to the theft of roughly 3.5 TB of documents containing personal data for more than 42,000 individuals, including Social Security numbers; the attackers published the victim on their leak site and used double-extortion tactics.
