Microsoft acknowledges two Windows issues: a Windows 10 bug introduced by the April 23, 2024 KB5036979 preview update that shows an 'Open With' dialog instead of executing registered app tasks from Start/Taskbar, and a Windows 11 problem where Microsoft Photos (version 2024.11050.29009.0+) may fail to launch, especially when policies blocking non-admin app installs are enabled; fixes are in progress.
