Microsoft released the Windows 10 22H2 January 2024 preview update (KB5034203), an optional non-security “C” update that introduces DMA compliance in the EEA—enabling uninstallation of built-in apps like Edge, Bing Web Search, Photos, and Camera—while letting app defaults govern link/file handling. The update also fixes issues with WMI timezone caching, Code Integrity-related device hangs, BitLocker data-only encryption MDM reporting, and refreshes the Windows Kernel Vulnerable Driver Blocklist to counter BYOVD risks, ahead of the February Patch Tuesday rollout.
