Russian alcohol retailer WineLab closes stores after ransomware attack

WineLab, a major Russian alcohol retail chain operated by Novabev Group, was hit by a large-scale coordinated cyberattack on July 14 that disrupted IT infrastructure, brought the website offline, impacted mobile purchases, and led to temporary store closures. Novabev says a ransom was demanded and declined to pay; there is no confirmed evidence of customer data being affected and no ransomware group has publicly claimed responsibility as of the report.
