AkzoNobel confirmed a security incident at one of its U.S. sites after the Anubis ransomware gang published samples from an alleged 170 GB data exfiltration (about 170,000 files) containing confidential agreements, contact details, passport scans, and internal technical documents; the company says the intrusion was contained and impact is limited. The report notes Anubis operates as a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) with an affiliate program and recently added a destructive wiper to its toolkit.
