Over 90,000 LG Smart TVs may be exposed to remote attacks

Bitdefender disclosed four vulnerabilities in LG webOS (CVE-2023-6317/6318/6319/6320) that allow attackers to create arbitrary accounts, escalate privileges to root, and perform command injection on multiple LG Smart TV models; Shodan scans indicate roughly 91,000 potentially exposed devices. Users are advised to update WebOS via Settings > Support > Software Update to mitigate remote compromise risks, which could enable account takeover, network pivoting, or enlistment in botnets.
