Greece’s Land Registry agency breached in wave of 400 cyberattacks

The Greek Land Registry reported a recent series of ~400 cyberattacks that led to the compromise of employee terminals and theft of 1.2 GB of administrative documents (no personal data). Attackers accessed a daily database backup but attempts to exfiltrate that backup were blocked; there is no evidence of ransomware, core services remain operational, and containment measures (VPN termination, password resets, mandatory MFA) were enacted with support from the national Cybersecurity Directorate.
