Google is rolling out enhancements to Google Meet client-side encryption that allow external participants—including those without Google accounts—to join encrypted calls. Workspace admins for Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus can enable this by updating IdP/KACLS configurations and selecting third-party identity providers, with external users authenticating via Google/Microsoft accounts or one-time passwords delivered by SMS or email, ensuring only meeting participants can decrypt call media.
