Microsoft experienced an Azure Front Door (AFD) capacity outage beginning around 07:40 UTC that caused delays and timeouts for Azure and Entra portals and intermittent access issues to some Microsoft 365 services across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Engineering teams restarted affected Kubernetes instances and initiated failover for the Microsoft 365 portal; Microsoft reported restoring approximately 98% of AFD early in the incident and later confirmed full recovery after mitigation efforts.
