UK sentences “serial hacker” of 3,000 sites to 20 months in prison

A UK national, Al-Tahery Al-Mashriky, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 months for hacking and defacing numerous websites, stealing login credentials (including data for over 4 million Facebook users) and compromising government, media and organizational sites across Yemen, Israel, the US and Canada; forensic evidence linked him to extremist-aligned groups such as the Yemen Cyber Army.
