France arrests Latvian for installing malware on Italian ferry

French authorities say malware capable of enabling remote control was found on the Italian passenger ferry Fantastic; a Latvian crew member has been detained on charges of conspiring to infiltrate computer systems on behalf of a foreign power, one suspect was released, and the malware was neutralized without reported consequences while investigations continue with DGSI and Italian cooperation.
