CEO who sold fake Cisco devices to US military gets 6 years in prison

U.S. authorities sentenced Onur Aksoy, head of Pro Network Entities, to six and a half years in prison for trafficking $100 million in counterfeit Cisco networking equipment, which was imported from China, modified to appear genuine, and sold via dozens of online storefronts to hospitals, schools, government agencies, and the U.S. military. The long-running scheme saw multiple customs seizures and a warehouse raid that recovered over 1,100 counterfeit devices, and Aksoy must pay $100 million in restitution to Cisco.
