Apple sued over fake App Store crypto wallet app stealing $1.8M in Bitcoin

Three plaintiffs filed a lawsuit accusing Apple of negligence after a fake Sparrow Wallet app on the App Store prompted them to enter seed phrases and had about $1.8 million in Bitcoin stolen; the legitimate Sparrow Wallet has no iOS app and its developer warned Apple of impersonating apps previously, while Apple says it removed impersonators and terminated developer accounts once identified.
