Ex-L3Harris exec guilty of selling cyber exploits to Russian broker

Peter Williams, a former general manager at L3Harris Trenchant, pleaded guilty to stealing at least eight protected cyber-exploit components intended for U.S. government and allied use and selling them to a Russian exploit broker between 2022–2025; the DOJ says roughly $35M in trade secrets were stolen and sold for about $1.3M in cryptocurrency. The sale potentially benefits Russian cyber actors and may relate to unconfirmed leaks of Chrome and iOS zero-days, though direct attribution to specific in-the-wild exploits is unknown; Williams faces up to 10 years imprisonment and significant fines.
