Disc Soft confirmed a supply-chain attack in which trojanized DAEMON Tools Lite installers (free 12.5.x builds distributed since April 8) delivered an information stealer and, in some cases, a lightweight backdoor (QUIC RAT observed) to thousands of systems across more than 100 countries; Kaspersky published technical findings and Disc Soft issued a clean 12.6 build while advising users to uninstall affected versions and run full scans.
