Microsoft Defender portal outage disrupts threat hunting alerts

Microsoft experienced a Defender XDR portal outage caused by a traffic spike that created high CPU utilization on portal components, resulting in blocked access, missing advanced threat-hunting alerts, and devices not appearing; Microsoft mitigated the incident, is collecting HTTP Archive (HAR) traces from remaining affected customers, and plans to publish post-incident reports.
