Canadian retail giant Loblaw notifies customers of data breach

Loblaw Companies Limited disclosed a breach of a contained, non-critical segment of its IT network where a criminal third party accessed basic customer PII — names, phone numbers, and email addresses. The company says there is no evidence that financial data, health information, or account passwords were exposed, has logged out customers as a precaution, and is continuing an investigation; no threat actor or data postings have been observed publicly.
