Microsoft expanded testing of Windows 11 'administrator protection,' a security feature that uses just-in-time elevation and Windows Hello prompts so admin accounts operate with standard rights until needed, aiming to be more resistant to bypass than UAC. Insiders on Canary Build 27774 can now enable it directly under Windows Security (Account Protection), and Microsoft also previewed related initiatives including Quick Machine Recovery, Config Refresh, Zero Trust DNS, and hotpatching as part of its Secure Future Initiative.
