Alleged Scattered Spider hacker extradited to the United States

A 19-year-old alleged member of the Scattered Spider hacking collective, Peter Stokes, was arrested and extradited to the U.S. accused of participating in multiple extortionate intrusions and ransomware incidents that targeted numerous high-profile organizations; the group used social engineering, MFA fatigue attacks, SMS credential phishing and emulator-assisted tactics, causing millions in ransom payments and remediation costs while deploying DragonForce encryptor in at least some attacks.
